On the directions of Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, the Himachal Pradesh government has ordered the immediate release of the remaining 30 percent gratuity and leave encashment arrears for Class-IV employees who either retired or passed away in service between January 1, 2016, and January 31, 2022.

An official spokesperson stated that the government has already disbursed four installments of interim relief and 12 installments of dearness allowance on basic pension and family pension during the period. These payments will be adjusted against the pending pension or family pension arrears.

The spokesperson further added that pension disbursing authorities have been directed to ensure that, following this release, all pending gratuity and leave encashment dues of the eligible Class-IV employees are fully cleared.
