Himachal Pradesh Launches ‘Him Samachar’ App For Easy Access To Government Information

Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu here today launched the ‘Him Samachar’ App, a pioneering initiative of the Himachal Pradesh Information and Public Relations Department. This innovative and user-friendly App will help providing easy access to information to the people about the policies and programmes of the State Government besides the departmental bulletins, video contents, short reels and essential updates on the government’s decisions offering a diverse range of content.

Him Samachar App can be easily downloaded from the Google Play Store or by scanning the QR code. The Chief Minister said that the state government has introduced numerous welfare schemes aimed at improving the lives of the people of the State.  He said that the Information and Public Relations Department plays a pivotal role in disseminating the policies and programs to the grass root level. He asked the department to further embrace modern technology to enhance the dissemination of the government’s public welfare initiatives to the last man in the queue.

Revenue Minister Jagat Singh Negi, Chief Parliamentary Secretary Sanjay Awasthi, MLA, Kewal Singh Pathania, Principal Advisor (Media) to Chief Minister, Naresh Chauhan, Director, Digital Technology and Governance, Mukesh Repaswal, Director Information and Public Relations, Rajiv Kumar and other dignitaries were present on the occasion.
