The Government of India has said that LPG and fuel supply across the country remains stable despite evolving developments in West Asia.

Officials confirmed that over 51.5 lakh domestic LPG cylinders were delivered in a single day, with no disruption reported at distributorships. Digital bookings and authentication-based deliveries have also increased significantly.

To manage demand, oil marketing companies have conducted around 2,900 awareness camps for 5 kg LPG cylinders, while more than 12 lakh such cylinders have been distributed since March 2026.

The government has advised citizens against panic buying and urged use of official information sources and cleaner fuels like PNG and electric cooking systems. States have been asked to strengthen monitoring to prevent hoarding and ensure smooth distribution.

Authorities said commercial LPG supply and refinery output have been optimised, while PNG expansion is being promoted to reduce dependency on cylinders.

On maritime safety, the India-flagged LPG vessel Jag Vikram has safely crossed the Strait of Hormuz carrying 20,400 MT of cargo. Over 2,000 Indian seafarers have been repatriated safely from the Gulf region.

Indian Missions continue 24×7 assistance to citizens abroad, coordinating travel and safety measures amid the ongoing situation.
