Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla inaugurated the five day art exhibition organized by Indian Arts Council at historic Gaiety Theatre, Shimla, today. Artworks of 11 artists from different states of the country have been displayed in this exhibition.
While appreciating the work of artists, the Governor said that art is a universal language that transcends boundaries and connects us all. He added that it was a reflection of our thoughts, emotions, and the world around us. “The paintings on display today are not just works of art, these are windows into the minds and hearts of the artists, each telling a unique story and evoking a range of emotions”, said the Governor.
He appreciated dedication, passion, and creativity of artists and said that it was truly commendable. While interacting with artist, he said that each piece of art is a testament of hard work and their ability to capture the beauty and complexity of life on canvas. “Your contributions are invaluable in enriching our cultural landscape and inspiring future generations of artists”, said the Governor.
He said that the historic Gaiety Theatre of Shimla has emerged as a centre of excellence in the country for performing various works of arts. Earlier, Dr. Chandrashekhar Kale, Founder President, Indian Arts Council welcomed the Governor. Praveen Pandit, Coordinator also presented Shukla the Governor’s painting made by him. Prominent personalities were also present on the occasion.
