Himachal Pradesh Governor Kavinder Gupta visited Ved Ashram in Yol during his two-day tour of Kangra district, where he met spiritual leader Swami Ram Swaroop Yogacharya. The Governor was warmly welcomed by the district administration and members of the Ashram.
During the visit, the Governor interacted with Swami Ram Swaroop Yogacharya and discussed the relevance of Vedic teachings in present-day society. He also participated in a Havan-Yagya and prayed for peace, prosperity and well-being of the people. Listening to Swami Ji’s discourses on Vedic knowledge, the Governor appreciated the serene spiritual atmosphere of the Ashram.
Praising the efforts of Swami Ram Swaroop Yogacharya, the Governor said that he has been playing a significant role in spreading the message of the Vedas in India as well as abroad. He observed that saints and spiritual leaders continue to play a crucial role in preserving and promoting the timeless wisdom of Vedic traditions in the modern era.
The Governor emphasized that while society is rapidly progressing, it is equally important to stay connected with India’s rich spiritual and cultural heritage. He said that saints guide society by spreading Vedic knowledge, moral values and spiritual discipline, helping people lead balanced and ethical lives.
Urging the younger generation to remain connected with their roots, he said that embracing Vedic values does not mean rejecting modernity but rather drawing strength from ancient wisdom to face contemporary challenges. He also expressed hope that Ved Ashram would continue to inspire people and future generations through the promotion of Vedic knowledge and culture.
