Tiny tots of Shemrock SMARTKIDS accompanied with their parents celebrated Children’s Day in a picnic style as they visited a nearby resort in Kufri, with their School Director Sheetaljit Kaur, Princial Guneet Kaur and other faculty members. It was pure fun as lots of activities were planned for the kids with of course some educational inputs, learning while playing. Principal Kaur said, “The management wanted the children to have fun outside the school on Children’s Day. They had great time enjoying outdoor sports and games. The weather was just perfect for children to have a wonderful time playing outdoors in the Sun. The mothers also accompanied the kids. We have planned games for mothers as well”.
The highlight of the picnic was the Burma Bridge Crossing in which the following children participated Aryan Chandel, Swaksha Chauhan, Avani, Aadhya, Preesha, Anahat Kaur, Tamanna, Swara Stan, Parikrama Bhardwaj. It was one of a kind experience for the little ones as they crossed the bridge — some scared, some excited and some happy to make it across, feeling like a huge task had been accomplished. Mothers too tried their hands on this activity. Another fun activity lined up for the kids was a walk around the apple orchards where they were given a fun talk about how apples are grown.
Nutritious breakfast and lunch was served to children and interactive sessions were held where they were given information about Chacha Nehru and his love for children and the importance of this day for all kids as well as parents. The winners of various competitions held received prizes and while all kids got special Children’s Day gifts.
