Performance of the Students of Class XII in Term I Exams

CBSE provided for the conduct of Boards Examinations for session 2021-22 in two terms i.e., Term-I and Term-11 The Term-I examinations were conducted as per schedule. Performance of the students in Term-l examinationsis being communicated to the schools now. The following important information may be noted by the all concerned for needful action:

The Board is informing the schools only about the theory performance of their students of Class XII in a collective manner. Hence, the performance of the individual student will not be made available on the website. The information about the performance of students is based on the performance of the studentsuploaded by the schools. In the subjects where the assessment was not done by the schools, performance based on the scanning of OMR Sheets has communicated to the schools. To address the difference in the difficulty level between sets of Question Papers in Term-l examinations like Spanish etc. or difficulty in some particular set/state/region, needful action will be taken at the time of preparation of the final result after Term. Il examinations.

In case, the students missed their exams due to COVID or because of participation in National/International Sports/Olympiads etc.no performance of Term-l examinations has beencommunicated. However, their performance will be assessed based on performance in Term-II examinations in accordance with circular no. CBSE/Coord/Sports/2021-22 dated 09/11/2021. Only theory performance has beencommunicated to the schools. The information about practical/project/internal assessment is already with the schools. Being Term-l only, no Mark Sheet cum Passing Certificate is being issued now. Only one Mark Sheet cum Passing Certificate will be issued after the Term-Il examination to have parity with the previous results. This will comprise of only total marks of both the Terms as per weightage decided of Term-I and Term-II examinations. The weightage of Term-l and Term-II will be decided at the time of declaration of Term-Il result and accordingly.

The final performance will be calculated. (8) Result of Class-XII will be declared only after Term-Il examinations\ wherein the candidates will be placed in the Essential Repeat/Compartment/Pass category etc. (9) Examination centres will be allotted afresh in Term-II. Students will appear only from the examination centres allotted to their school. No examination centre will be changed in the Term-Il examination. (10) The Compartment Examination will be conducted based on the syllabus of Term-Il examinations. (11) In the case of the Patrachar Vidyalaya/ Private candidates, as the students will be appearing only in the Term-Il examination, their marks in Practical and Theory will be awarded on pro-rata basis. (12) In all cases where ever problems have been reported in the question papers or marking schemes, due care has been taken by the Board and the performance of the students has been calculated/re-calculated by the Board taking into account the revised answer key wherever applicable or awarded marks for dropped questions in a suitable

manner keeping in mind the academic interests of the students. (13) Action as per rules on Unfair means, sub-judice cases, not eligible and resultlater casesete. will be taken at the time of final results. Such candidates are presently allowed to appear in Term-Il Examinations. (14) Online Dispute Redressal Mechanism for Term-I examinations is made available with immediate effect. Students can send the disputes to their school and schools can send the combined dispute to the CBSE, Online Dispute Redressal Mechanism facility will be available till 31.03.2022 However, disputes will be decided alongwith the verification schedule after the declaration of the Term-Il result. (15) Performance of the students of 62 schools has been communicated provisionally and is under scrutiny.
