Little girls and boys of SHEMROCK SmartKids school joyously celebrated the sister-brother bond through the festival of Rakhi here today in the school premises. The girls tied rakhi to the boys as the staff members helped them in tying the sacred thread. School Chairman Sheetaljeet Kaur and Principal Guneet Kaur taught the meaning of the festival to the tiny tots who were quite happy eating sweets and playing and dancing around. The Chairman further added that we try to celebrate all the festivals in our school so that children learn and understand our cultural values. At this tender age, children are very receptive to new things and by making learning fun through dance and games we can inculcate good habits among them.
The children also exchanged gifts as the girls applied tilak on the boys forehead and tied Rakhi on their arms. All the students participated in the event, namely Arnav, Uday, Avni, Parikrama, among others. Teachers too enjoyed the event with the little ones as they all sung and danced together having a gala time.
