The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) is driving a focused initiative for the systematic collection, segregation, and disposal of electronic waste under “Special Campaign 6” (SCDPM 6), championing the institutionalization of cleanliness and efficient resource management.

As part of this ongoing drive, the ministry has identified 5,337 obsolete and e-waste items for disposal. Through transparent auctions, these items are being cleared to optimize available office space and generate revenue. To date, the disposal process has successfully yielded ₹11,40,220 in revenue while freeing up approximately 600 square feet of valuable workplace space.

This campaign goes beyond mere decluttering, reflecting a strong administrative commitment to environmentally responsible waste management, enhanced workplace organization, and sustainable governance practices.
