Saraswati Paradise Students Win 15 Medals in 8th District Level Karate Championship – 2014

The students of Saraswati Paradise International School added another feather in school’s cap by winning 15 medals in the 8th District Level Karate Championship – 2014, which was organised by the Karate-do-Association of District Shimla for three days starting from 16th – 18th August, 2014 at Indira Gandhi Sports Complex, Shimla. The 15 medals included six gold medals won by Harsh Chandel, Yashav Jog, Priyanshu and Karthik, four silver medals and five bronze medals won by Simran, Apeksha, Kushal, Pradyuman and Rajat.

School Principal Mandeep Rana congratulated the students for their remarkable performance in the competition and said, “I would like to congratulate the winners of the competition. For the students who had participated in the competition but were not able to win this year, I want them to renew their courage as we must draw from our past experience and learn from both our successes and failures to make positive changes”.

School Director D P Mittal also gave way Rs 600/- to gold medal winners, Rs 400/- to silver medal winners and Rs 200/- to bronze medal winners respectively and encouraged the students by saying, “I want more and more students to indulge themselves in such activities. Together we will continue to ignite passion in what we do guided by the commitment to excellence. Hard work of the students, teachers and the staff has helped us sustain quality of the school and make us unique as an organisation”.
