A sweet and entertaining programme was organized in the honour of mothers by the students and teachers of Shemrock Smart Kids play school at their premises in Sanjauli today. Principal Guneet Kaur welcomed all the parents as children presented a flower to each and every mom on arrival. She said, “The joyous ride on this bumpy road is full of ups, downs, roller coaster, tears and the most unforgettable hugs and smiles. The pleasure of being a mother can never be compared with any other relation created by Almighty”. She further added that your kids have invited you to their “Home” — Shemrock Smart Kids — to give you all the importance and attention in their own loving way.
Soon the event began as Master Sparsh took the stage and sung Gayatri Mantra for all mom. Then was a group dance performance on the song Meri Ma, which was quite touching and well appreciated by all moms present. While thanking Mother India on Mother’s Day , Samarth Singh sung Aao Baacho Tumhe Dikhaye Jhanki Hindustan Ki. A cute and naughty performance awaited eager moms as kids danced to the tune on Bum Bum Bole.
The teachers too accompanied the kids during the dance performance off the stage, helping kids to remember their moves. Dance teacher Neha, with other namely, Sheetal and Sushma were seen enjoying the day with kids while helping Principal Kaur make this event a success. The foot tapping number were so addictive that she herself couldn’t resist joining the kids in the dance.
It was then time for some cultural break as the children of the foundation group presented the foot tapping, fabulous “Natti”. After this the trio, Sushil, Manav and Kartik gave a funky dance performance on the Lungi dance number, groovy moves picked during the last winter camp attended at Shemrock. Next in line were the sweetly dressed princesses, imitating their mother with their hairstyles, saris, high heels and of course make up. Their performance was definitely cute and received loud applause from all the moms.
After a light entertainment program it was now time for some activity for moms. They were all given papers and colours to draw a thank you card for their wards appreciating their hard work and presentation today. The best card award was given Shemrock Mom Aruna Sharma. A game of Tambola was also organized for the entertainment of the moms. Next in line was a Catwalk. All mom took the ramp and flaunted their styles and moves. Mrs Nidhi took the prize for this event. The award for best dancer was given to Priyanka Dokta. And the best supportive award went to Anjana Janartha.
Shweta Bhampta, mother of Yayim was very happy with the event organized by the school. Sonia Singha, mother of Adhiraj was satisfied with the activities and teaching style of the school. She said, “My son is expressing himself nicely, as he is the only child he didn’t have much friends and was not very communicative. After sending him to Shemrock, he now has few friends, has learnt sharing and has definitely become talkative. I am very happy with his progress”. Vandana Thakur, two and a half year old Bhavya’s mom, said that my girl has learnt nursery rhymes so early. She added, “By organizing events like Mother’s Day in their school activities our children learn many new things”.
The day ended on a high note with all mothers being honoured and loud claps and cheers for the Shemrock moms !!!
