Loreto Convent School, Tara Hall, hosted its Junior Annual P.T. Drill Display with remarkable flair and exuberance. Centred around the spirited theme ‘Kaleidoscope of Fun and Fitness’, the event brought together athletic prowess, cultural richness, and youthful energy on one dynamic platform.

The celebration kicked off with a warm welcome extended to the Chief Guest, Mamta Paul (District Programme Officer, Women and Child Development, Shimla) by Sr. Sabrina, Principal Reetu Sharma, and Headmistress Monica Sharma. Symbolising sportsmanship and perseverance, Paul lit the ceremonial torch to mark the formal opening.

Following a solemn pledge of integrity and fair play, the six school houses—Amartya Sen, Ashok, Mary Ward, Nehru, Shakespeare, and Tagore—marched in flawless synchronisation. Set to the lively beats of Vibrations, the Junior School band, the parade showcased impeccable discipline and unity.

The field displays kicked off with a soulful Prayer Dance by 61 Class V students, followed by a serene yoga routine by 54 young yogis who formed breathtaking Swastik and sunflower patterns. Class II’s 74 pupils charmed the crowd with a lively Tambourine Drill, while a 58-member Taekwondo squad displayed martial arts precision and board-breaking skills, capped off by instructor Ms. Amrita’s impressive tile-breaking act.

History came alive as 76 Class III students performed a thrilling Sword Drill honoring Rani Lakshmibai. The 48-member Gymnastics team impressed with cartwheels, bridge walks, and a custom ‘Mary Ward’ formation, while 45 skaters skillfully glided through cones and partner pathways.

Culture took centre stage when 68 Class IV students delivered a festive Dandiya Drill that spelled out the word “JOY”. The finale featured Mizoram’s traditional Bamboo (Cheraw) Dance, performed with rhythmic precision by 76 Class V students, culminating in a powerful formation spelling “LCTH”—representing the core values of Love, Courage, Truth, and Hope.

Chief Guest Mamta Paul praised the young participants for their focus, agility, and sportsmanship. Following a token of appreciation presented by Sr. Sabrina, Principal  Reetu Sharma delivered a warm vote of thanks. The memorable occasion concluded solemnly with the National Anthem.
