The tiny tots of Auckland House School, Shimla gave an outstanding performance during their Junior Section Sports Day today. The chief guest Fr. John Bosco, Principal, St. Edward’s School, Shimla appreciated the efforts put up by the little ones and their staff. The colorful PT displays presented by students of Form I and II was very much appreciated by all present. The formation of a peacock and its dance moves were gracefully showcased by the little kids. The balloons display was equally entertaining in the formation of the year 2014, while welcoming all to a new beginning.
Students from Nursery up to Class II were seen enthusiastically and earnestly running in the Flat Race, Flag Race, Cotton Candy Race, Biscuit Race, Lazium Race, Partner Race, Treasure Hunt Race, Hopping Race, Passing the Ball and Skating Race. Special races had also been organized for the parents.
Father Bosco who lauded the efforts of all the children and teachers for putting up a great show said, “It is nice to win medals but to give your personal best is more important. As someone said that the only person you should compete with should be yourself. Set up your own motivations and benchmarks to succeed in life”. He further added that, “We as parents and teachers are interested in raising healthy, hardworking, passionate and future ready students and I believe it is possible as nature helps those who have great intensions”.
Following precedent, Principal Sunita John informed that all the students in the Junior section participated in one event or the other. She said, “The teachers worked extremely hard to make this event a success. Getting little children even to move is a stupendous task. The need of the hour is to inculcate the right values in our children and these lessons begin at the very bottom as he / she begins school. The goal should be to participate till the end, and it is not just about winning or losing. She further expressed her gratitude towards the parents who came and felt rewarded seeing their children perform such skillfully and beautifully.
