St. Bede’s College Focuses on AI in Modern Teaching

The Department of Computer Science at St. Bede’s College, under the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) in collaboration with Technoledge™, organised a one-week Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “Integration of Artificial Intelligence in Teaching and Outcome Based Education (OBE) Strategies” from May 12 to May 18, 2026.

The programme was conducted under the guidance of Principal Prof. (Sr.) Rosily T.L. and coordinated by faculty members Neha Walia and Nivedita Bhardwaj Sharma.

Dr. Ravi Prakash Verma, Professor and Head, Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science at IIMT College of Engineering, served as the resource person. Through expert lectures and hands-on demonstrations, he highlighted the transformative role of Artificial Intelligence and Generative AI in modern teaching-learning processes.

Faculty members from Government Degree College Kandaghat, Government Degree College Dhami and St. Bede’s College participated in the programme. The sessions covered AI-enabled teaching methods, curriculum design, CO-PO mapping, innovative assessment techniques and personalized learning approaches aligned with the National Education Policy 2020 and Industry 4.0 requirements.

The FDP aimed to equip educators with advanced skills to integrate AI tools and Outcome Based Education strategies into classroom teaching, promoting a more innovative, technology-driven and student-centric learning environment.
