St. Thomas’ School, Shimla, celebrated its Annual Day on October 24, 2024, with great enthusiasm and energy. The event saw active participation from students, parents, and esteemed guests, including the Chief Guest, Dr. Ranu Thakur, Principal of HP College of Education.

Cultural Performances and Program Highlights

The celebration showcased the incredible talents of students from classes V to VIII, featuring performances such as a welcome song, a prayer dance, a teacher’s choir, the Hindi play “Narmada,” a “Rag Mala,” and the school anthem. The welcome speech was delivered by Aastha Thakur from class VIII, setting a positive tone for the event.

School Report and Student Awards

Principal Ms. Vidhupriya Chakravarty presented the annual school report, highlighting the institution’s academic and extracurricular achievements. Awards were distributed in various categories, including General Proficiency, Good Conduct, and Full Attendance:

  • Class IV: Saksham Thakur secured 3rd place in General Proficiency, Shourya Chanalia was recognized for Good Conduct, and Aliza was awarded for Full Attendance.
  • Class V: Navi won 1st prize in General Proficiency, Vivaan secured 2nd, and Abhinav took 3rd prize. Mehak received the award for Good Conduct.
  • Class VI: Devina achieved 1st prize in General Proficiency, followed by Kritika in 2nd and Kanishka in 3rd. Diva was honored for Good Conduct, while Kanishka and Muhammad received Full Attendance awards.
  • Class VII: Saksham earned 1st place in General Proficiency, Isha secured 2nd, and Aastha took 3rd. Angel Shama and Aakash were recognized for Good Conduct, while Aastha Thakur and Deepanshi received awards for Full Attendance.

Chief Guest’s Address

Dr. Ranu Thakur commended the vibrant performances and praised the students for their efforts. She also appreciated the hard work of the teachers and shared motivational insights, encouraging the students to strive for excellence in both academics and extracurricular activities.
