Students Captivate Attention on Teachers’ Day Celebrations

Teacher’s Day was celebrated with great fervour in Saint Ann’s Academy, Jaipur as children organized a cultural programme to entertain and show respect towards their teachers. The zeal and enthusiasm with which they performed was quite heart rendering.

The guest of honour was the Headmistress, Iris Sorengh, and as the host of the programme Sakshi Mittal, Class VI welcomed her guests and gave the opening speech on why Teachers’ Day was celebrated and spoke few words about the great philosopher / statesman Dr. S. Radhakrishnan. The cultural programme began with a Hindi song by the students of Class III.

The songs were prepared with the help of Madam Beryl as Class II and Class III students danced to the tune of Dil Garden Garden Ho Gaya. Students of Class VI also presented a dance on the song Badtameej Dil and sang a song especially for the teachers titled, “Teachers we love you”.

The dances were organized by children with the help of their dance teacher, Khurshid Khan, a professional choreographer who also runs a dance institute Surbhi Dance Academy in Jaipur. A colourful Rajasthani folk dance was performed by the students of Class II.

A skit on the topic “Teachers’ Conference” was presented by the students of Class VI, while a Hindi speech was given by Suresh dedicated to Dr. S. Radhakrishnan.  Muskan, a student of Class II presented a poem Hamari Adhyapikaye. A poem Granny was recited by Anjali and Arman, students of Class VI, while Aman a student of Class VI gave a speech.

Headmistress Iris Sorengh was happy to see the confidence with which her students had performed and present an entertaining programme to mark the Teachers’ Day celebrations. She thanked the children for organizing and presenting such a beautiful programme.
