Training and Consultation Workshop on Women Health to Be Organised on 18th September: Dr. Sadhana Thakur

Chairperson, Himachal Pradesh State Red Cross Society Hospital Welfare Section, Dr. Sadhana Thakur presided over the meeting of Himachal Pradesh State Red Cross Society Hospital Welfare Section and said that Red Cross Society has been serving humanity through various activities in the state. She said that a training and consultation workshop on women health would be conducted on 18th September, 2021 by Red Cross Society at Red Cross building Shimla, to spread health awareness amongst women.

Dr. Sadhana Thakur said the Red Cross Society has organised 61 blood donation camps in the year 2021. She said that 3416 Pulse Oxymeter, 87885 face masks, 9486 PPE Kits, 9522 face shields and 40710 gloves have been distributed in the state during the pandemic by the Society. About 7087 ration kits have also been provided to the needy during the pandemic, she added.

Dr. Sadhana said that 1942 persons were provided medical consultation and 3657 persons were provided mental-social assistance. She said the trees provide us oxygen, therefore with the participation of volunteers the Red Cross Society also conducted a plantation drive under which a target of planting 1.10 lakh saplings has been fixed. She said that 65 thousand saplings have been planted so far including medicinal plants.

Dr. Sadhana Thakur nominated Madhu Sood as Chairperson, Dr. Kimmi Sood as Honorary Secretary, Bimla Kashyap, Sushma Minocha and Nireta Aakhery as Executive Secretary of new Executive Society of Himachal Pradesh State Red Cross Society Hospital Welfare Section.

Earlier, Himachal Pradesh State Red Cross Society Hospital Welfare Section Secretary P.S. Rana welcomed the Chairperson and also detailed about the meeting.
