118 Infantry Battalion’s Blood Donation Camp in Shimla

118 Infantry battalion (TA) popularly known as Nagpur Terriers along with Military hospital Shimla, IGMC Shimla, NCC GP HQ Shimla & 133 Ecological (TA) Dogra conducted ‘Blood Donation Campaign’ to commemorate Territorial Army Platinum Jubilee.

The TA soldiers known as Terriers donated blood for noble cause of Saving life. Enthusiastic NCC cadets of 7 HP(I) coy NCC Shimla participation was overwhelming. Ex-servicemen at the Military hospital for routine check up also volunteered to donate. A total of Ninety seven Units of blood was collected

Team of Officials from Indra Gandhi medical college Shimla led by Dr Sandeep Head of department of blood bank graced the event by delivering lecture on benefits of Donation, motivated young minds and wished Territorial Army fraternity great laurels. The territorial army celebrates its raising day on 09th Oct Every year. This year being special as it marked the 75 years of this citizens Army being in existence.

As part of jubilee celebration a fortnight before the same unit organized a Green-A- Thon by distributing over 500 sapling at St Thomas school near Army Training command to aware young students towards saving the planet.
