Chief Minister Sukhu, reaffirming the state government’s commitment to rural development, announced a slew of developmental projects worth ₹81.30 crore for the Anni Assembly Constituency while addressing a public gathering at Baga Sarahan in Kullu’s Nirmand Sub-Division. As part of the announcement, Anni will be upgraded to a Nagar Panchayat. The CM inaugurated and laid foundation stones for 21 projects spanning road upgrades, water supply schemes, irrigation, health, education, tourism, renewable energy, and community infrastructure. Major highlights include the upgradation of key roads like Nishani–Paali-Parantla and Koyal–Bashla, the development of a ₹6.28 crore Nature Interpretation Centre at Jalori Jot, solar charging infrastructure, and multiple water schemes benefiting several villages. Community centres worth ₹2 crore were also inaugurated, along with a new PHC at Khanag and an ITI building at Dalash. The CM also announced a day boarding school, a CBSE-affiliated school, 50% subsidy on e-carts for youth, ₹1 crore each for the Baga Sarahan–Bathad road survey and Sarahan lake development, and ₹1 lakh to Mahila Mandals and for a new nature park. Financial assistance under flagship welfare schemes like Indira Gandhi Pyari Behna Sukh Samman Nidhi, Sukh Shiksha Yojana, and Beti Hai Anmol was also distributed. The event saw participation from MLAs, Zila Parishad representatives, local leaders, women’s groups, and departmental exhibitions and medical camps were held for public benefit.
