CM Unveils ‘Him Bhog’ Organic Product Line

During the State-level Independence Day celebrations held at Sarkaghat in Mandi district, CM Sukhu launched the Him Bhog range of products, including wheat flour, daliya, and turmeric. These items, made from naturally grown crops, are part of the state’s push to offer chemical-free, healthier food options to consumers.

Marking the occasion, the Chief Minister also presented the prestigious Prerna Srot Award to three distinguished individuals from Himachal Pradesh:

  • Prof. Him Chatterjee (Shimla) for his efforts in reviving the Kangra miniature painting tradition and creating the world’s longest public artwork in Pragati Maidan Tunnel, New Delhi.

  • Dr. Ram Swaroop Shandil (Shimla) for his acclaimed performances in folk, classical, ghazal, bhajan, and group songs, both nationally and internationally.

  • Prof. Prem Kumar Khosla, Chancellor of Shoolini University (Solan), for his pioneering role in forestry education, including the introduction of B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. programmes.

The Himachal Gaurav Award was presented to:

  • Chandrekha Dadhwal (Dharamshala) for her significant literary achievements.

  • Shalini Vats (Seubagh, Kullu) for her impactful work in empowering the visually impaired, differently-abled individuals, women, and children.

  • Dr. Lal Singh (Chhota Shimla) for leading over 50 projects focused on sustainable livelihoods, biodiversity, renewable energy, and agricultural innovation.

Additionally, the State Rural Livelihood Mission under the Rural Development Department and the Indian Red Cross Society, Kullu, were conferred with the State-Level Civil Service Award 2025 for their exemplary service.

As part of the Mukhyamantri Sukh Aashray Yojana, five beneficiaries from Sarkaghat and Dharampur received ₹2 lakh each as marriage grants. Under the Mukhyamantri Vidhwa Evam Ekal Nari Awas Yojana, 11 women beneficiaries from Sarkaghat were provided the first installment of ₹1.5 lakh each for house construction. The remaining amount will be disbursed upon completion up to the roof level.

The Chief Minister also honoured departments, officers, and officials of Mandi district for their dedicated efforts during this year’s disaster relief and rescue operations. Their support to the district administration was recognized as a vital contribution during times of crisis.
