Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla extended heartfelt greetings to the people of Theog on the occasion of Theog Day, praising the region’s rich history, cultural heritage, and the hard work of its citizens. Celebrating Theog’s first-place achievement in the Swachh Survekshan 2025 (for towns under 20,000 population), the Governor highlighted its progress in education, health, agriculture, horticulture, and tourism.

Calling for a “Nasha Mukt Himachal” (drug-free Himachal), Governor Shukla urged residents to show the same resolve against drug abuse that earned them recognition for cleanliness. He affirmed his support for even the smallest anti-drug efforts and released a locally produced anti-drug awareness song by Shyam.

He also paid tribute to the Praja Mandal movement, emphasized the importance of adopting Swadeshi, and hailed India’s defense strength through indigenous technology like the BrahMos missile.

The celebration featured speeches from MLA Kuldeep Singh Rathore and local leaders, a vibrant Choltu Dance by local artists, and honours for individuals contributing to society. Several dignitaries, including government officials and community leaders, were present at the event.
