The Himachal Pradesh Government has sanctioned an additional ₹3.50 crore for the construction of a key bridge over the Giri River, aimed at improving road connectivity between Chabyoga (Pachaad) and Salamu (Rajgarh) in the Pachaad assembly constituency, Sirmaur district.

According to a spokesperson from the Public Works Department (PWD), the funds were released under the direction of CM Sukhu, who has been advocating for strengthened rural infrastructure as a core part of the State’s balanced development strategy.

The bridge project, once completed, is expected to provide a major relief to residents of several remote Gram Panchayats including Karganoo, Rajgarh, Tikker, Pabiyana, Drabli, Wasni, and Daron Devriaya, by offering safer and faster access to surrounding areas

The State Government is committed to equitable development. Roads and bridges are vital lifelines, and our focus is to ensure no region remains disconnected from mainstream progress,” the spokesperson stated.

This infrastructure initiative aligns with the government’s broader vision of inclusive growth and enhanced public service delivery across rural Himachal.
