Kotkhai Accident: CM – Education Minister Express Grief

Education Minister Rohit Thakur and CM Sukhu have expressed profound grief over a tragic road accident that occurred on Monday morning in Ramnagar, under the Kotkhai sub-division of Shimla district, claiming five lives and leaving one person injured.

The accident took place around 8:30 AM when a pickup vehicle (HP63-3897) met with a mishap near Dholo Kainchi, Ramnagar. Among the seven people on board, four died on the spot, two were treated and discharged from CHC Kotkhai, and one individual, referred to IGMC Shimla, succumbed to injuries later. All passengers, except the driver, were of Nepali origin, including a woman.

Education Minister Rohit Thakur expressed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families, terming the accident an irreparable loss. He prayed for the peace of the departed souls and for the speedy recovery of the injured.

Chief Minister Sukhu also mourned the loss of lives and stated that the state government stands firmly with the affected families in this hour of tragedy. He assured that all possible assistance would be extended to them. The Chief Minister offered prayers for the eternal peace of the deceased and strength for the families to bear the loss.
