Auckland House School for Girls has successfully completed the second phase of its Cervical Cancer Vaccination Drive at Indira Gandhi Medical College (IGMC), reaffirming its commitment to preventive healthcare and the well-being of young students.

In this phase, 42 students aged 14 and above received their second dose of the HPV vaccine — 35 students were administered the Nonavalent HPV Vaccine (Gardasil-9) and 7 received the Quadrivalent Vaccine (Gardasil-4).

This initiative follows the school’s first vaccination drive conducted in August 2025, during which over 120 girls aged nine and above were given their initial HPV doses. The campaign originated from an awareness workshop led by Dr. Alok Sharma, a renowned gynecologist, who educated parents, teachers, and students about the importance of HPV vaccination in preventing cervical cancer, one of the most prevalent cancers among women in India.

Principal Smaraki Samantaroy commended the success of the program, stating:

“At Auckland House School, the well-being of our children is our foremost priority. By offering vaccinations at concessional rates, we aim to protect our students’ health rather than seek profit. A healthy woman strengthens her family and, in turn, society.”

She also expressed heartfelt gratitude to the medical team at IGMC for their dedicated support and seamless coordination throughout the vaccination process.

Through such initiatives, Auckland House School continues to promote health awareness, empowerment, and social responsibility, nurturing students who are not only academically accomplished but also health-conscious and community-oriented citizens.
