Chief Secretary Sanjay Gupta, along with DGP Ashok Tiwari, Health Secretary M. Sudha Devi, Director Health Services, and Director of Medical Education, visited Dr. Rajendra Prasad Government Medical College (RPGMC), Tanda, Kangra, to assess the functioning of the institute and interact with patients and staff.
During the visit, the Chief Secretary held detailed discussions with the Principal and faculty on long-pending issues at the Medical College. He assured that all feasible matters would be resolved promptly in coordination with concerned senior officials to further strengthen infrastructure, service delivery, and patient care.
The delegation also inspected the Surgery Department, High Dependency Unit (HDU), and Obstetrics & Gynecology wards, interacting with patients, doctors, and nursing staff while reviewing the availability of essential services and overall functioning of the units.
Principal Dr. Milap Sharma, along with senior doctors including Dr. Sanjeev Sharma and Dr. Niraj Gupta, briefed the visiting team on the college’s key achievements, ongoing initiatives, and departmental issues requiring attention.
The visit reaffirmed the State Government’s commitment to improving healthcare infrastructure and ensuring high-quality medical services for the people of Himachal Pradesh.
