CM Sukhu Provides Aid to Construction Workers

CM Sukhu today released financial assistance totaling Rs. 14,17,18,354 under various welfare schemes of the Himachal Pradesh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board during the Jan Sankalp Sammelan in Mandi. A total of 3,835 workers benefited from the support.

Under the CM Single Window and Divyang Housing Scheme, Rs. 19 lakh was provided to 19 beneficiaries, while Rs. 1.50 crore was disbursed as death and funeral assistance to 117 beneficiaries.

For education assistance, Rs. 9.28 crore was given to 3,040 beneficiaries. Marriage assistance worth Rs. 3.01 crore benefited 600 individuals. Additionally, Rs. 1.73 lakh was provided to 10 beneficiaries as maternity and paternity benefits, and Rs. 1.80 lakh was extended to nine mentally challenged special children.

Under the Mukhya Mantri Awas Yojana, Rs. 10.42 lakh was distributed to 10 beneficiaries, while Rs. 3.53 lakh was provided to 30 beneficiaries as medical assistance.

CM Sukhu said the initiative reflects the government’s commitment to the welfare and empowerment of workers and vulnerable sections across the state.
