18th December is observed globally and nationally with a focus on social justice and human rights. Internationally, it is recognized as International Migrants Day, a United Nations-designated day that highlights the contributions, rights, and challenges of migrants around the world, aiming to promote awareness and protection for migrant communities. In India, 18th December is celebrated as Minority Rights Day, dedicated to safeguarding and promoting the rights of minority communities, emphasizing equality, inclusion, and social harmony. Together, these observances serve as a reminder of the importance of protecting vulnerable groups, ensuring their rights, and fostering an inclusive society both nationally and internationally.
