With the objective of strengthening women entrepreneurship and promoting inclusive industrial development, the Himachal Pradesh Government will organize a State-Level Women Entrepreneurs Networking Meet at Peterhoff, Shimla, on January 4, 2026.
A government spokesperson said that empowering women as entrepreneurs is a key priority of the state. Women-led enterprises play a crucial role in job creation, economic development and social empowerment. The proposed networking meet aims to address major challenges faced by women entrepreneurs while extending institutional support to help them scale up and sustain their businesses.
The event will see participation from women entrepreneurs and collectives representing all districts of Himachal Pradesh. It will provide an opportunity to engage with national-level ecosystem partners, industry experts, financial institutions and fellow entrepreneurs. Industries Minister Harshwardhan Chauhan will attend the event as Chief Guest, along with senior officials from State and Central Government organizations.
The programme will include expert sessions, panel discussions and sharing of best practices, with a special emphasis on improving access to finance, strengthening market linkages and expanding mentorship opportunities. Through direct interaction among entrepreneurs, experts and financial institutions, the initiative seeks to bridge information gaps, reinforce peer networks and create a supportive environment for women-led enterprises.
The spokesperson added that the meet will help women entrepreneurs transition from household-based micro-enterprises to scalable ventures, thereby enhancing their contribution to Himachal Pradesh’s mountain economy. The State Government, he said, remains committed to building a robust ecosystem that ensures women’s active participation in the state’s industrial and economic growth.
