CM Unveils Major Development Works in Manali

Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Tuesday inaugurated and laid foundation stones for eight development projects worth ₹63.56 crore during his visit to the Manali Assembly Constituency, giving a major boost to road, power and public infrastructure in the region.

The Chief Minister inaugurated the upgradation of the Nathna–Jana road under PMGSY, completed at a cost of ₹10.69 crore. He also inaugurated the upgradation works of the Manali–Kanyal road costing ₹5.04 crore and the metalling and tarring of the Bebli–Jindaud road, completed at a cost of ₹13.19 crore.

In addition, the Chief Minister laid the foundation stones for several key projects, including a 33/11 KV GIC power sub-station at Ibex Chowk, Manali, to be constructed at a cost of ₹13.52 crore. He also laid the foundation for a bridge over the Beas river at Rangdi with an estimated cost of ₹15 crore.

Other foundation works included landslide prevention and control projects at Rangdi and Batahar on the left bank of the Beas river, to be completed at a cost of ₹2.90 crore, a hot water bath facility at Kalath costing ₹1 crore, and a District Panchayat Resource Centre at Bashing in Kullu district with an outlay of ₹2.22 crore.

These projects are expected to strengthen connectivity, improve public amenities and enhance safety and infrastructure in the Manali Assembly Constituency.
