India Energy Week 2026 commenced with key addresses by Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas, Hardeep Singh Puri, UAE Minister Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, and Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant. The global forum emphasized translating dialogue into action, driving innovation, and fostering investment to accelerate the global energy transition.
Minister Puri highlighted India’s progress in energy security, self-reliance, and climate justice, stressing that energy transition is about “energy addition” across oil, gas, biofuels, green hydrogen, LNG, and clean cooking fuels. He outlined reforms like new sedimentary basin exploration, Open Acreage Licensing Policy (OALP), and Discovered Small Fields (DSF) rounds to attract global investors.
UAE Minister Al Jaber stressed the importance of balanced energy investments and reaffirmed the UAE–India partnership in crude, LNG, and LPG supply. Chief Minister Sawant showcased Goa’s vision for sustainable development, including a roadmap to achieve 100% renewable energy by 2050, and highlighted balancing green and blue economy goals.
