Students of Shimla Nursing College, Shurala enthusiastically participated in the Yuva Changemakers Programme held on 27th February 2026, marking a significant step towards youth leadership and community engagement.
Yuva Changemakers is a one-year leadership fellowship programme aimed at empowering the youth of Himachal Pradesh to actively contribute to positive social change. Based on a practical, learning-by-doing approach, the initiative offers exposure to leadership, governance, and community involvement while addressing real-world challenges.
The programme was launched by Hon’ble Lok Sabha MP Anurag Singh Thakur with the objective of developing socially responsible, ethically strong, and action-driven young leaders dedicated to nation-building and community development.
During the event, nursing students of Shimla Nursing College completed their registrations with great enthusiasm and expressed their commitment to playing a proactive role in society.
Members of the Yuva Changemakers team, including Rajinder Dhiman, Shashi, Tarun Rana, and Radhey, were present on the occasion. The programme was also attended by the Secretary of the college, Dr. Kimi Sood, and the Principal, Dr. Krishna Chauhan, whose motivating presence encouraged the students to actively engage in leadership and social initiatives.
The college administration has expressed hope that such initiatives will continue to inspire students to become responsible and dynamic contributors to society.
