CM Sukhu laid the foundation stone for the Turkal Panga drinking water scheme in Kutlehar Assembly constituency, Una district, at a cost of Rs. 14.92 crore, which will benefit over 10,000 residents across Budhan, Chamyari, Dhungle, Lathiani, and Tanoh Gram Panchayats. He also inaugurated the groundwork for the Samarthya Gyandeep Library and Samarthya Vyayamshala, and announced the opening of a DSP office and Sub-Judge Court in Bangana, as well as Primary Health Centers in Rainsari and Lathiani. Addressing a large public gathering, CM Sukhu emphasized the state government’s commitment to clean drinking water, stating that Rs. 2,000 crore will be spent on modern purification technology to safeguard residents’ health. He praised MLA Vivek Sharma for his dedication to public service, contrasting him with the previous MLA, and highlighted the government’s swift implementation of the Old Pension Scheme, unlike Punjab’s AAP administration. Reflecting on the 2023 natural disaster, he noted that 23,000 affected families were rehabilitated and 75,000 stranded tourists were evacuated, with temporary restoration of electricity and water within 48 hours. The CM also outlined progress in education and healthcare, stating that Himachal Pradesh has risen to 5th position in quality education rankings, with CBSE schools opening soon and Rs. 3,000 crore allocated for advanced medical technology. Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri added that projects worth Rs. 1,000 crore are underway to ensure drinking water in every corner of Una district, along with improvements at Mata Chintpurni Temple, and stressed that the state will secure its rightful share of revenues from Punjab. MLA Vivek Sharma highlighted infrastructure, healthcare, and water supply improvements in Kutlehar, praising CM Sukhu’s proactive governance. These announcements collectively underscore the state government’s focus on water security, healthcare, education, and inclusive development.
