A one-day workshop focused on promoting mental health and wellness among students was organised by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) at St. Thomas’ School on April 18, 2026. The session aimed at sensitising teachers to the emotional and psychological needs of students in today’s competitive academic environment.
The workshop highlighted early identification of stress, anxiety, and behavioural changes among students, along with effective classroom strategies to build a supportive and inclusive learning atmosphere.
The programme began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp. School Principal Sharon Nanda welcomed the resource persons and participants and also felicitated the experts. She provided a brief overview of the workshop and its objectives.
CBSE resource persons and keynote speakers Pooja Aggarwal and Versha Dharma led the training sessions, sharing practical insights and interactive guidance with educators.
Teachers from several nearby schools also participated in the workshop, including Trinity International School, Saraswati Paradise School Sanjauli, Raja Dilip Singh Memorial School Halog, Chapslee School Shimla, and IVY International School Sanjauli.
At the conclusion of the event, STNC Anshul Sharma expressed gratitude to the resource persons and participating teachers. Principal Sharon Nanda thanked all attendees and organisers, stating that CBSE would continue to conduct similar capacity-building and training programmes in the future to strengthen holistic education practices.
