Cheers, colour, and boundless enthusiasm marked the Upper Primary Sports Meet at Auckland House School for Boys, as young students turned the school grounds into a vibrant arena of athleticism and teamwork.

The event was graced by Chief Guest Sumedh Sharma, Joint Director, Health Services, who inspired the gathering with a motivating address on discipline and healthy living. In a touching moment, he also paid tribute to Late Mrs. Sunita John, former Director-Principal, remembering her remarkable dedication and lasting contribution to the school.

The meet opened with a grand Guard of Honour and a sharp, synchronized March Past, setting the tone for a day filled with precision and pride. Students then impressed the audience with dynamic displays of aerobics, yoga, gymnastics, and a well-coordinated stick P.T. drill. A powerful taekwondo demonstration stood out, reflecting confidence, control, and resilience.

Excitement peaked during the track and fun events, with races such as the baton relay, 100m sprint, ball relay, skipping race, and skating race keeping spectators on the edge of their seats. Adding to the festive spirit were crowd-favourite activities like musical chairs and tug of war, while the parents’ race brought laughter, bonding, and wholehearted participation.

Principal Reuben Tanumoy John extended sincere thanks to everyone involved, with special appreciation for Founder Principal Michael A. John for his unwavering support and guidance.

The day concluded with a proud prize distribution ceremony, celebrating the determination and achievements of the young athletes. Race winners included Molshit Darta, Rudransh Thakur, Shaurya Verma, Vedant Thakur, and Advay Chauhan.

French House clinched the overall championship, with Lefroy House finishing as runners-up, followed by Durrant House in third place and Matthew House in fourth.

Blending competition with camaraderie, the Sports Meet not only highlighted talent but also reinforced values of discipline, teamwork, and perseverance—making it a truly memorable occasion for the entire school community.
