A delegation of the Himachal Pradesh Headmasters Cadre Officers Association met Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu in Shimla on Tuesday and conveyed their gratitude for recent reforms in the Education Department. The delegation felicitated the Chief Minister and thanked the government for the promotion of 834 principals in a single round, including 539 headmasters and 295 lecturers, terming it the largest promotion exercise in the department so far.
They also appreciated the state government’s decision to introduce the CBSE curriculum in 151 government schools this year. The members acknowledged the transparent posting process of teachers for these schools, which ensured equal opportunity for all eligible candidates.
The delegation further stated that the initiative has received an encouraging response, reflected in the rising student enrolment in these institutions. The Chief Minister assured the delegation that the government remains committed to strengthening the education system and continuing reforms aimed at improving quality and accessibility of education in the state.
