The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE) will conduct supplementary and improvement examinations for Classes 10 and 12 in June 2026 across 98 examination centres statewide, Board Chairman Dr. Rajesh Sharma said on Monday.

He said the centre allocation has been done district-wise, with Kangra leading with 20 centres, followed by Mandi (13), Shimla (12) and Hamirpur (10). Bilaspur, Chamba, Sirmaur and Solan will each have seven centres, Una six, Kullu five, and Kinnaur and Lahaul-Spiti two centres each. All designated venues will conduct both Class 10 and 12 exams.

Dr. Sharma said the Board is tightening oversight this year, making CCTV surveillance mandatory at all centres, with footage required to be preserved for a minimum of six months to ensure transparency and accountability in the examination process.

He added that centres with very low candidate strength may be merged with nearby venues, while centre allocation will remain flexible and subject to revision. The Board, he said, reserves the right to cancel or modify any centre at short notice if circumstances demand.

Reaffirming the Board’s commitment to fair conduct, Dr. Sharma said the exams will be held in a peaceful and impartial manner, warning that strict action — including suspension or de-recognition of centres — could follow in cases of cheating, mass copying, or staff complicity.

Meanwhile, HPBOSE has also released a notification on re-evaluation and re-checking of the Class 12 examination held in March 2026. After scrutiny of applications, a list of rejected candidates, along with subject-wise details, has been issued.

He said candidates who paid the prescribed fee within the deadline must submit supporting documents to the Board office by May 28, 2026, to enable further processing as per rules.
