CM Sukhu participated in a state-level International Yoga Day programme organised by the Department of Ayush at the Sports Authority of India (SAI) Synthetic Track Ground in Anu on Saturday.
The Chief Minister performed yoga for around 45 minutes alongside nearly 2,000 participants, including senior citizens, youth and children, highlighting the importance of yoga for physical and mental well-being.
The event commenced with the Chief Minister lighting a ceremonial lamp and offering prayers to Lord Dhanvantari. He also released a booklet on International Yoga Day, featuring concise information on various yoga postures and practices aimed at promoting awareness about the benefits of yoga.
The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from people across different age groups, reflecting growing awareness and interest in adopting yoga as a healthy lifestyle practice.
