TRANSFER OF HPAS OFFICERS

The Himachal Pradesh Government has carried out another major bureaucratic reshuffle, ordering the immediate transfer and posting of 22 Himachal Pradesh Administrative Service (HPAS) officers across the state. The latest changes aim to strengthen administration in municipal bodies, educational institutions, and district-level offices.

Among the key appointments, Sachin Kanwal (2009 batch) has been named Commissioner of the Municipal Corporation, Shimla, replacing Bhupender Kumar (2009 batch), who has been appointed Managing Director of the H.P. General Industries Corporation Ltd.

The reshuffle also brings new leadership to key institutions, with Jyoti Rana (2012 batch) appointed Registrar of H.P. University, Shimla, and Dr. Laiq Ram Verma (2012 batch) named Managing Director of HIMFED.

In addition, several Sub-Divisional Officers (Civil) and transport officials have been reassigned across districts, including Solan, Bilaspur, and Mandi, as part of the government’s effort to improve administrative efficiency and local governance.
