Bringing governance directly to the doorsteps of high-altitude communities, CM Sukhu stayed overnight at the remote village of Rangrik as part of the state’s flagship ‘Sarkar Gaon Ke Dwar’ initiative.

During his stay at the residence of local resident Sonam Phunsuk—where he was greeted with traditional Spiti hospitality and local delicacies—the Chief Minister personally listened to public grievances at Manjushri and instructed officials to ensure swift redressal.

Addressing long-pending local demands, CM Sukhu announced the up-gradation of the Rangrik Sub-Centre to a Primary Health Centre (PHC). Turning his focus to education and infrastructure, he conducted a surprise inspection of the Government Senior Secondary School Girls’ Hostel. Interacting directly with the students, he immediately sanctioned ₹2 crore for a brand-new hostel building, alongside promising a new boundary wall, female warden, multi-task staff, and a permanent fix to the water shortage.

Prior to reaching Rangrik, the Chief Minister also visited the old-age home in Key to inspect facilities and check on the well-being of elderly residents. Reaffirming his commitment, CM Sukhu emphasized that overnight stays in far-flung pockets allow the government to draft real, ground-level budget solutions for every citizen.
