Innocence Wins Hearts: Regal School’s Annual Day

Keekli Reporter, 26th October, 2013, Shimla

Today was just a precursor to the two day event, the 21st Annual Day Celebrations held by the Regal Public School at the Kali Bari Hall, Shimla. To ensure that each and every child participates and all children are duly awarded as they all are winners, the event had been carefully planned over two days. Half the school children participated in various events and rest half were warmly welcomed on the stage with their parents to receive the awards. Principal Manmohan Khanna inaugurated the show by lighting the lamp and greeted all the parents on the occasion.

With a sweet and small introduction of how faith, discipline and selfless devotion, one can achieve everything in life, these young souls showed full confidence in each and every performance. To prove the same the young tiny tots of Regal Public School — Prableen, Kaushvi, Anshika, Arshiva, Akshat, Hermeher, Vardaan, Namish and Mrinmayi took the stage to perform Vandana, invoking Gods blessings.

The best part about the event was that after each performance there was a prize distribution, where in children received medal, trophies and cute little hats for girls and caps for boys, for their performances in various activities and competitions since the beginning of the academic session. After this Naisha, Sneha, Apramya, Sheril, Aayanna, Kamya, Gunjan and Kanika stepped on the stage to perform on the famous Kashmiri song Bumro and won quite a few hearts. A mix of innocence, raw talent and confidence was very much evident from their performance.

After a small break during which the prize distribution continued, children sweetly danced to the tune of Radha Kaise Na Jale and the dancing stars were Aradhya, Aranya, Gauri, Mannat Verma, Hiranya, Kyna, Suvriti and Sanah. Soon the boys showed their dazzling performance on the recently hit number Lungi song, imitating the style, looks and moves of the famous South Indian star Rajnikant. The young boys in lungi were Anant, Devashish, Astitav, Kartavya, Tsring, Kanisha, Yug, Marvin and Kabir. The last performance of the day was a charming dance act showcasing the beauty and culture of Himachal. Girls in Kullu dress were Aprajita and Neeharika, dressed as Kinnauri girls were Anvi and Namir, district of Lahul Spiti was brought alive by Shaurya Shah and Aaditya Dhillon, while Ridhi and Smaira performed on a song depicting Chamba district.

The day ended with happy, chirpy children with their many awards and with the promise of more cute, bubbly, cheery performances the following day!!!
