Janamashtmi and Independence Day Celebrations at JCB Khalini

It was a week of double celebration and fun at JCB School, Khalini, to mark the 71st Independence Day of the country as well as the festival of Janamashtmi. Several Inter House Competitions were conducted in the school which included art, quiz, declamation and debate.

School Director, Kushal Malhotra inaugurated the week long event with the art and painting competition. In the junior wing, Manas from Aman House was declared the winner and second position was won by Anvesha of Shakti House. In the senior wing, Simran from Shakti House bagged the first prize and second position was claimed by Himani Chauhan from Adarsh House and Bhuvan Sharma from Aman House.

In the Inter House Quiz (junior category), Dhruv, Anjali and Ankit from Shakti House stood first and Deepanshi, Akshay and Jyotika stood second. In the senior category Jyoti House was declared the winner. Participating members of the House included Komal, Avantika and Prateek. The second slot was shared by Shakti and Adarsh House. Participants included Rahul, Diggal, Divya, Chahat, Prateeksha and Kshitij.

Junior category Declamation contest was won by Himanshi from Adarsh House and the runner up was Mohini from Jyoti House. In the senior section Aman from Adarsh House stood first and Jatin from Jyoti House was placed second.

The event concluded with a colourful and rejuvenating cultural programme. Principal, Rajesh Sharma distributed sweets among the students and congratulated them for their fine performances. He later on gave away prizes to the winners.
