Teachers of the Guru Nanak Foundation Public School, Mohali, organized an Inter-House Debate Competition for students of Class X in the school premises.

The topics of the debates were — i. Are multipurpose projects beneficial? ii. Is technology making us alone? iii. Should there be some minimum level of educational qualification for the politician? iv. Is the rat race to score good marks cause of depression among students and parents?

Two students from each of the four houses debated vehemently in favour and against the motion. The participants were well prepared and explained their point of view very well. It was an erudite experience for all the participants as the student body witnessed the debate.

The judges for the day were Amardeep Kaur and Parveen Saini, who were deeply engrossed in the session. The judges adjudged Jaspreet Kaur from Upkar House as the winner, Jagdeep Singh from Prakash House bagged the second position while Lovisha of Vigyan House came in third.

While addressing the students, School Principal suggested that the students should express themselves in a way so as to reach the pinnacle and she further motivated them by adding that their efforts and spirit can work like magic in enhancing their performances for the future.
