Students of Loreto Convent Tara Hall, Shimla, celebrated pure, unadulterated fun and a recreational day as they hosted their annual fete here today. The fete brought out all the excitement and exuberance of the students and teachers alike. Various snack stalls, game stalls and some information stalls added colour to the already vibrant atmosphere. It was like one big family out there, enjoying a massive event, with everyone playing hosts and guests at the same time.

The activities were fun and easy tasks for children to complete in a short length of time. The games spin and win, hoopla, lucky dip, lucky smile, horse race, tambola, knocking the cans, razzle-dazzle, no luck, skittles, finding fruits, puddle jumping and jumping jack kept the gathering enthralled.

What can one ask for especially after so much fun to satisfy one’s senses than good food? Visitors had a variety to choose from like – drinks, chowmein, fried rice, channa bhatura, cakes, French fries, smilies, ice creams to beat the heat to name some. All the stall monitors were doing their best to attract more people.

However, the two stalls that didn’t miss an eye were the Request Corner and Jam Session as music always brings smile to all. A number of songs were dedicated to students by each other and many grooved to the music. Students also dedicated songs to their teachers.

Some moments are nice, some are nicer, some are even worth reliving again and again but unfortunately all we can wish for is if we could only have this life for one more day was a thought that many students of senior classes felt as they watched the sun go down on an event that made part of their lives for past so many years and yet here they stood living it for last time before it faded away forever.
