Tiny tots of Euro Kids Pre School, New Shimla,  presented a short and sweet event today to showcase their affection and warmth towards their moms as they all celebrated Mother’s Day in the school. An engaging and enlighteeuro1ning speech about Mother’s Day was given by the school Principal Raveen Singh, who welcomed all the mother’s present in support of their children. She said, “Mother’s Day was celebrated especially to honour mothers for giving birth to children and raising them very well and hence the second Sunday of May was officially celebrated as Mother’s Day. She further added that mothers endure everything despite what and how their children behave. Quoting an example she said that once during an English exam, students were asked to write a 200 word essay about mother within half an hour. One boy finished the same in 1 minutes and he still won full marks. He had written “Any combination of all the 26 alphabets cannot explain my mother”. Principal Raveen said that the informal party being held today was to honour the Euro Moms for doing such an amazing job with their children, this show was a tribute for the love and support shown towards their kids.

The programme began with Rashika singing a cute poem to welcome all the moms. Under the able guidance of their dance teacher, Rinku Khan, little cherubs gave an adorable performance on songs such as “Sunny Sunny”, “Baby Doll”, and “Itni si Kushi, Itni si Hansi”. euro2The second part of the programme was an “Activity Creativity” session where parents with their children were given the task of making craft items. These included flower decorations, painted shirts, cards, pencil holder and anything that the parents could come up with. Few brought semi-finished article and completed them with their wards in the school and other moms started fresh with their work on the spot.

Samarth Gupta with his mom Kanika Mahajan was seen doing hand painting on his t-shirt while Aanchal Mehta, mother of twins Adiraj and Adishree made a nice flower arrangement. There was loads of excitement and enthusiasm among the parents to do their best as prizes were to be announced at the end of the Academic session. The curiosity was definitely evident among all the Euro Moms.

Shweta Sood mother of Arya Sood was very happy with the way her shy and introvert kid had changed after joining Euro Kids. Appreciating the efforts of school, she said, “I feel quite good and happy as now my daughter sings and dances at home too. I am really proud to see my daughter do so well with other kids”. Mamta Bhardwaj mother of Rashika said that her daughter had become communicative and is now quite friendly when playing with others.

Rama Sethi, grandmother of Gautam Sethi was elated at seeing her grandkid perform so well. She said since Gautam’s mother could not come for the show I was very happy to be here and be part of the celebrations. Aanchal Mehta, mother of twins, said that this is their second year in the school. “I am very happy with the teaching methods adopted by the school as they give emphasis on personal grooming as well as helping children learn through activity based lessons. Such celebrations help children understand the importance of specific days and events “.

A Mother Loves — by Carol Matthews

A Mother loves right from the start.

She holds her baby close to her heart.

The bond that grows will never falter.

Her love is so strong it will never alter.

A Mother gives never ending love.

She never feels that she has given enough.

For you she will always do her best.

Constantly working, there’s no time to rest.

A Mother is there when things go wrong.

A hug and a kiss to help us along.

Always there when we need her near.

Gently wipes our eyes when we shed a tear.

So on this day shower your Mother with Love.

Gifts and presents are nice but that is not enough.

Give your Mother a day to have some peace of mind.

Be gentle, be good, be helpful, be kind.
