Principal and Management of Dayanand Public School, Shimla, celebrated International Yoga Day virtually with its students, parents and staff. A Yoga session was organised by the school from 8:30 am to 9:30 am on Google Meet and Live streaming of the event was done on YouTube to reach out to the whole Dayanand family.
The Yoga expert for the event was Bhupender Kumar, who has done MA and MPhil in Yoga from Himachal Pradesh University. He has been working as a Yoga instructor for the last eight years for various organisations and conducts live programmes for Doordarshan Shimla also. He taught different Yoga asanas to keep us healthy while staying safe at home. He focused on the asanas useful for children in these growing years. All the students and parents participated in the session actively and enthusiastically.
School Principal Mrs. Anupam congratulated all the participants and suggested that they stay active and fit while staying safe at home with YOGA and to make it a habit in their lives.
