Senior theater worker, academy awarde and president of Natyanukriti Shimla Sanjay Sood expressed his deepest condolence on the said demise of Deven Joshi veteran theater director and actor. He passed away yesterday at Mohali. While offering heartfelt condolence and sympathies for the peace to the departure soul and patience for the family members. Deven Joshi was the Stager person committed to theater. He himself was the school of theater who had firm believed in commitment and discipline in the theater.

Deven Joshi’s directed plays Ashad ka ek din, Sandhya Chhaya, Aadhe Adhure, Pagla Ghoda, Sari Rat, Look back in anger. A doyen in Himachal theater, he was a versatile genius with the acting nuances and a third eye for finer intricacies in real life, which he portrayed in his theatrical works. He will be deeply missed by theater lovers and intellectual fraternity in the state.
