Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar, who is also the National President of Youth Hostels Association of India, presided over the National Council meeting of the Association in New Delhi on Sunday. On the occasion, the Governor called upon all the office bearers of the association to make serious efforts to expand the activities of the association in their respective states. He suggested holding Annual General Meetings and National Council meetings in different states wherever the units of the Association were functioning. With this, these units would also become more active and their problems would be addressed at the local level. He urged all the members to work together.
Various recommendations and resolutions received from the National Executive Committee have been discussed in the meeting. The Council has also taken important decisions on various agendas put up in the meeting. Earlier, Venkat Narayanan, Chairman, Youth Hostels Association of India welcomed the Governor on the occasion and detailed about agenda items of the meeting. Office bearers of the Association and other prominent people were also present on the occasion.
