Tiny tots of Regal Public School celebrated their 22nd Annual Prize Distribution Function on 8th and 9th November at Kali Bari Hall with great enthusiasm and excitement as kids gave very cute and innocent performances. Principal Manmohan Khanna said, “Our annual function is celebrated over a period of two days as we give chance to each and every kid to perform. We have over 80 kids in our school and half the kids perform on the first day, while the other half receive prizes during that day. While on the second day the prize winners of the previous day give their performances as rest of the kids receive their awards. We ensure that each and every kid gets a chance to step on the stage to showcase his or her talent”. He further added that another extra ordinary thing about our function is that as the kids step on the stage to receive their prizes, all children either sing a poem / nursery rhyme or dance to entertain the guests. This helps in their confidence building and we at Regal school try to encourage children to become independent.
Soon the tiny tots — Chitsa, Anisha Chandel, Vaina Pal, Gaurvi Kumar, Rupashi Dhiman, Janvi Raghu Vanshi, Nehal Verma and Riya Shama — took the stage and gave a sweet performance on the song ‘O Radha Teri Chunri’. It was then time for the boys to dance on the number Pani – Pani as Japjot Singh, Aaryan Karol, Aadhya Aggarwal, Anant Bhutail, Sakshay Thakur, Gauri Rana, Ronak Arora, Rishit Bhardwaj, Evvan Chauhan and Adish Arora gave a foot tapping performance.
The highlight of the event was that after each dance performance there was a small break during which prizes were distributed to kids, who before taking their prizes sung sweet poems and nursery rhymes. Prize were awarded for competitions held during the current academic session such as winners in various races held in the school, craft items made in the class, fancy dress competition, good habits among other events.
Thereafter, the little ones took the stage again to give a thrilling performance on the song ‘Waka Waka’ as Yatharth Sharma, Amyra Grover, Nityant Sood, Radhika Goel, Trinabh Sood, Prachi Sood, Aaradhya Gupta, Prajwal Puri and Kai Rav Goel danced with passion. Hardrishit Kaur, Sukrit Sood, Rahat, Yug Thakur, Malaika Singh, Vishruth Chauhan, Anshuman Sharma and Taraksh Bansal performed on a melody of songs ‘My Friend Ganesha and Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram’. The finale was a heart rendering performance by — Mayank Verma, Adarsh Thakur, Vibhoraditya, Kashavi Thakur, Aavriti Malketa, Aradhya Chauhan, Mitchell and Manvik on Himachali Natti, which was just amazing as it won huge applause from all the parents and guests present.
A word of appreciation for all the teachers — Anupama Dogra, Aradhana, Divya, Monika, Vidya, Nisha and Suraksha — whose hard work and patience was very much evident from each and every item put up by the kids.
