A delegation of Ice Hockey Association of Lahaul-Spiti called on Revenue, Horticulture and Tribal Development Minister, Jagat Singh Negi here today. The delegation apprised the Revenue Minister that the Ice hockey team of the state has won bronze medals in the under-18 boys and senior women category in the National Ice Hockey Championship-2023 organized by the Ice Hockey Association of India in Leh-Ladakh. While congratulating the association, the Revenue Minister announced to provide one lakh rupees each to both the teams from his discretionary fund. He said that the state government was making concerted efforts to promote sports activities and strengthen the infrastructure. The best facilities would also be provided by the government to the budding players so that they can move ahead in the field of sports and bring laurels to the country and the state, he added.
