Health Minister Urges Central Government To Declare National Disaster In Himachal Pradesh

Dr. Dhaniram, the Minister of Health and Family Welfare, conducted an inspection today at the heavily landslide-affected area of Shiv Bawri in Samrahil. Highlighting the considerable damage caused by heavy rainfall and disasters in the state, he stressed the urgent need for the central government to declare a national disaster in Himachal Pradesh.

Dr. Shandil expressed that the recent landslide in Shiv Bawri has claimed 17 lives so far, marking a tragic and heart-wrenching incident. He commended the efforts of the NDRF, Army, SDRF, police, and local volunteers working tirelessly at the disaster site.

Acknowledging the commendable work during this challenging time, he also called for continued vigilance to safeguard the environment and prioritize construction practices, ensuring that such catastrophic incidents are avoided in the future. The event was attended by Superintendent of Police, SDRF, Ilma Afroz, and Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Bhanu Gupta, among other local authorities.
